During the month of October and November, I have been doing a project for my classes while attending Full Sail University online. The work consists of revising a project from my precious courses to which I chose to revise my website design that focuses on a charity benefit concert aiming at raising awareness on saving the lives and the habitat of sea turtles.
The first stage that I went through was creating three various mood boards on three musical genres as my peers and I were given the option to pick any genre.
I chose hip-hop, disco, and pop. My strongest mood board was pop so therefore, I went with the pop music genre.
Afterward, I began sketching out ideas for a possible layout on how the website may look for the charity benefit concert. The website design consists of five pages: home, about us, artists, tickets, and concert.
I came up with a parallax scroll website that scrolls down. The navigation bar is fixed at the top and the audience will continue to see the navigation bar as they continue to scroll downward.
In addition, the logo which is the name of the concert is fixated at the top left corner of the navigation bar. The logo consists of a turtle with bubbles and hand-drawn letters to mimic the idea of bubbles.
You may find a link of the design and revision of the logo for the concert here: logo and website design.
Also, for this month I am learning about utilizing surveys to better revise my design before it goes into its prototype stage. I am required to survey respondents in reference to my design. I chose to use Survey Monkey based on its popularity in survey use, cost (free to use), and that it is easy to generate a survey. The survey includes the questions and a link to the Behance portfolio of my design work that the survey is pertaining to.
Please take a look at my survey and participate as a respondent by going to the following link: Website Design Survey.
I would know your thoughts on my work.
